Join Hitachi Energy in Västerås as an R&D Software Developer to develop advanced software for power grid control and monitoring in critical infrastructure. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain product functionality, ensuring quality, security, and efficiency.
Main requirements:
- University degree in Engineering or Computer Science
- Good knowledge in C#
- Experience with Azure DevOps and Git
- Understanding of database models
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Familiarity with software quality considerations
- Experience with unit tests and test automation (advantage)
- Experience working with agile methods
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to gather and understand requirements
- Implement new functionality according to requirements, standards, and guidelines
- Correct and maintain existing codebase with awareness of system impact
- Review code from other developers and provide constructive feedback
- Review and execute test scenarios and system tests to assure quality
- Support teammates and assist when needed
- Participate in continuous improvement processes to enhance product and development practices
