System Engineer Communication and Data Links for Gripen

As a system engineer, you will work with various radio systems and communication including voice communication with civilian airspace or military command, and tactical data links that create situational awareness using sensors. You will collaborate on multiple ongoing and upcoming projects, fulfilling customer, civilian, and NATO requirements.
Main requirements:
  • Degree in engineering or equivalent in a technical field
  • Experience with systems, electronics, or hardware, preferably defense industry related
  • Ability to communicate clearly in Swedish and English, both written and oral
  • Self-driven, proactive, team player capable of taking responsibility and solving complex problems
Responsibilities:
  • Requirement specification to fulfill customer needs through team-developed software and integrated hardware
  • Collaborate with international subcontractors to ensure technical cohesion and integration of their systems with ours
  • Work in simulators to verify and test system interfaces and functionality
  • Documentation and reporting ensuring information from subcontractors and users is accurate and meets requirements
